Tree (n.): A woody perennial plant with one main stem or trunk that develops many branches, usually high above the ground. Some trees can thrive in containers, such as the dwarf orange tree. Other trees, such as the jacaranda tree, can grow in containers while small but must be transplanted once they grow too large.
