Tube feeder (n.): The most popular type of wild bird feeder, a tube feeder is a clear plastic tube with a plastic or metal cap, base and perches. Tube feeders keep birdseed clean and dry, and, because they are clear, allow the wild bird watcher to see when the tube needs to be refilled with birdseed.
