Gardener's Dictionary: Thistle feeder
Thistle feeder (n.): Thistle birdfeeders are similar to tube feeders, but they are designed to dispense thistle, nyger and other very small seeds for wild birds. Birds such as finches will visit thistle feeders because these birds have smaller beaks that can access the seeds. Larger birds will not be able to feed from thistle feeders.
