Gardener's Dictionary: Suet feeder

Suet feeder (n.): Suet bird feeders are wire baskets that hold commercially made suet cakes. Suet cakes are a high-energy bird food made of animal fat and other ingredients that attract wild birds that eat insects. Woodpeckers, chickadees, bluebirds, titmice, robins, jays, wrens, etc. visit suet feeders (especially in colder weather) and most likely will not visit birdseed feeders.
