Gardener's Dictionary: Butterfly garden

Butterfly garden (n.): A butterfly garden is a garden planted specifically to attract butterflies. Plants used in a butterfly garden provide nectar for adult butterflies and/or plants that caterpillars will thrive on. Some good plants include asters, butterfly bush, lilies, marigolds, milkweed, poppies, purple cone flowers, sunflowers, zinnia flowers and more. Some butterfly gardens contain butterfly “houses,” water and other food sources.
