It's spring, and that means flowers are in full bloom! To keep your flowers looking their best, cut or "pinch" off flowers that are past their prime. When a flower starts to wilt or die away, it means that the plant is creating a seed, which will carry that plant's DNA to the next generation. If you prevent the plant from creating a seed by removing the old flowers, the plant will go into overdrive, blooming with more flowers to try to create seeds before it dies. If you pinch off flowers, you will have more buds and more flowers in your garden, and they will look gorgeous!
