How to Grow and Care for Beans in Containers
Intro: Beans (snap beans) are one of the easiest plants to grow, especially in plant containers. This climbing plant does well in container gardens, and has interesting tiny white flowers. The ever-fascinating bean plant grows incredibly fast in the garden. It is ready to harvest from seven to 13 weeks after planting.

Light: Keep the bean's plant container in a brightly lit area, but not in full sun.
Water: Water often, and do not let this plant dry out. Once the bean plant begins to flower, give it even more water so it doesn’t dry out.
Propagation: Propagate your bean plant by saving the plant's seeds for your next planting. First let the bean pods dry out, then crack them open to find beans inside (these are the pinto beans) and store them in a cool, dry place until the next gardening season. If no bean plants are available from which you can save your own seeds, buy seeds or use dry pinto beans that come from the grocery store.
Misc. Info: Provide support for the bean plants with tied-together poles, or use sticks collected from around your neighborhood.
