Lucky Bamboo and Soil

I just bought a live bamboo plant, but I don’t know how to care for it. Does bamboo need soil?

Lucky bamboo doesn't need soil. Just put pebbles or marbles in a pot or glass jar and keep it filled with water (don’t let it dry out). The best water to use is distilled water. It will do okay with regular tap water, but tap water has a lot of chemicals in it and chlorine that aren't good for the lucky bamboo plant. Keep it next to a window with bright light and never directly in the sun.

You can give it a little bit of liquid plant fertilizer once in a while to give it some nutrition.
