Lucky Bamboo with Yellow Leaves
I got a bamboo plant and put it outside. Its leaves turned yellow and are falling off. What went wrong?
Lucky bamboo does best as an indoor plant or on a shady balcony, so it is most likely getting too much sun outside. Yellow leaves on a plant generally mean that it is either getting too much sun or too much plant fertilizer.
If you are fertilizing your bamboo, stop. This plant generally does not need fertilizer, so if you do fertilize, only give it a little bit. Take the plant indoors and put it next to a bright south-facing window. Make sure your lucky bamboo plant is not underneath any air vents or is exposed to any drafts that may dry it out. Good luck with your bamboo plant!
