How to Water Bell Pepper Plants
How often do you water potted green bell peppers?
Watering depends on the size of the plant container, the size of the plant, how hot and windy it is outside, and other factors. Peppers like hot weather and lots of sun, so it is probably best to keep them outside. Definitely water them once or even twice a day if it's 99 degrees! Watch the leaves and water if they start to wilt, and make sure the soil doesn't get too dry. To check if it needs water, put your index finger down into the potting soil about 2 inches down. If it feels dry down to 2 inches, give it a bit of water. Don't let it soak, though, as container plants with constantly wet roots can die of root rot.
